The Start of Something New
A “blogger” I am! I’ve never had the time to sit down and begin a blog until now. I still can’t decide if I want this to focus more on my personal life or my music, so I’m doing a little bit of both!
I’ll let you in on a little bit of my personal life first. I’m living in Nashville, TN with the most wonderful man in the world. We live in an old house that smells like cigarette smoke (although, neither of us smoke), and have 2 happy dogs that keep us very busy. I work at cj Advertising in downtown Nashville and for the first time in my life I can say that, “I LOVE my job!” The staff is very morale focused and give great attention to the positive things you do versus the negative. That’s hard to find! AND I hate to toot my own horn but I was Employee of the Month for the month of August! Just sayin…. ;). Lets see, what else? I just started taking Yoga classes to see what all the rave is about. Howevever, the idea of “hot yoga” makes me want to vomit and die, so I will steer clear of that for now. Beyond that I’m still trying to drink more water, I need a pedicure, and I continue to wait entirely too long to shave my legs!
Now music! This is where it gets complicated and if you don’t know anything about the music industry then you might as well stop reading at this point. I’m trying to gain the rights to my song, “Maryanne,” but I’m having a little trouble with BMI (music rights organization) getting in touch with me. The good news is that I have several guitar players learning my songs so I can really begin playing out in Nashville more often! My website is STILL under construction, which has been another bump in the road but another designer is in the works as soon as I get some extra cash-flow. I wrote a song the other day that is my favorite right now. It’s called “Hanging By A Thread.” As soon as it’s finally recorded I’ll letcha hear!
